Master's degree...check.
On a side note, I cleared the thesis office last Tuesday, so I am officially done with my M.S. degree. Hooray!
Inauguration...and me, minus 2.8 lbs
I have been sitting at Sweet Eugene's watching the inauguration this morning. Today I am proud to be an American. I know that change, if it happens, will come slowly, but I am hopeful!
My studying for the MCAT is coming along...my class doesn't actually start until next Monday night, but I have been trying to get a head start. I started with the biology and organic chemistry, which I actually enjoy, but am dreading the physics and gen chem. I CAN DO IT!
I started back to Weight Watchers last week and have decided to post my progress here. Maybe if others are following my weight loss I will be more inspired...we'll see. The first week was OK - I lost 2.8 lbs. I think I picked up a little bit of inspiration at the meeting so maybe that will help me through the second week : )
I am doing a yoga class with Amy (that's us in the picture at ESA this past summer in Milwaukee; too much wine = me with Amy's glasses on upside down) for the next 6 weeks, once a week on Tuesday nights, so I am looking forward to that tonight. I tried to convince Kyle to come with me but he refused : )

A few pictures from Christmas break
Mom and nephews come to town!
Kyle and I had a great weekend! My mom and two nephews came into town. For our Christmas present to the boys, we told them that we would take them to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, so that's just what we did yesterday. We saw the Body World's exhibit (2nd time for Kyle and myself), the dinosaurs, lots of different shells, a gem exhibit, and the butterflies (and other creepy-crawly bugs)! I think the boys had a lot of fun : ) After spending about 5 hours at the museum, we had dinner at Pappadeaux. We played Jenga when we got home last night and then watched Wall-E. If you haven't seen it, it is a really cute movie. Needless to say, it was a full but enjoyable day : )
After we woke up this morning we took the boys to get donuts and then to the dog park with Turbo. Turbo is great with the boys, and I wish we could keep them here all the time just to help us tire him out!
